Here are some photos of the extension of Jabulani Creche at Kelso Informal Settlement (work has just been completed). The number of kids at the creche had increased and they were in dire need of more room. The extension was funded by AGIF and done through our partners Living Rivers Church under the careful supervision of missionary George van der Merwe. The kids and community are very grateful and pleased with their new facility.
Students with the 180 Youth Group visit Kelso informal settlement and the crèche each year—last year they painted a mural on one of the outdoor walls.
Brad and Esme Warne planted Living Rivers Church and help start the crèche over 10 years ago. Jabulani crèche is in Kelso Informal Settlement—a shanty town and has a very high rate of HIV. There are a lot of addiction problems and feelings of hopelessness. Their goal is to impact and provide a safe haven for the kids living there.
