What We Believe

Abundant Grace welcomes everyone to worship and fellowship with us. Being a part of the congregation involves acknowledging Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord and committing to support the congregation with prayers, presence, gifts and service. We are an international, interdenominational church. We focus on what unites us rather than what could divide us.

Baptism. Abundant Grace celebrates baptism on a regular basis in accordance with the scriptures, to give a public testimony of faith in Jesus Christ. (Matthew 3:13-17; Acts 2:38, 8:34-38; Romans 6:3-4.)

Lord’s Supper (Holy Communion). Abundant Grace celebrates the Lord’s Supper (Communion) on a regular basis in accordance with the scriptures and in obedience to our Lord’s command. (Matthew 26:26-29; Mark 14:22-25; Luke 22:14-20; 1 Cor. 11:23-29.) This celebration is open to all who profess Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior.

Marriage. Abundant Grace honors marriage, defined as the life-long matrimonial union between one man and one woman, as a sacred, vital institution ordained by God. (Gen. 2:18, 22-24; Eph. 5:22-33.)

We join with Christians in all places and times by confessing our faith in the Apostles’ Creed

I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
Creator of heaven and earth,
and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord:
Who was conceived of the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried.
He descended into hell.
The third day He arose again from the dead.
He ascended into heaven
and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty,
from where He will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Christian church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and life everlasting.
